Fix n’ Do serves the Chicagoland area and its suburbs regularly. We occasionally perform work beyond those boundries. Being based in Plainfield,IL we have good access to the far south and west ‘burbs as well. That said, we only work in Illinois and the distance we travel to a job is dependent on the size of the job and the proximity to other jobs scheduled. Call us with specifics and we can let you know if it’s doable.
Absolutely. There’s nothing more important to us than for you to be comfortable as our client. We can provide more references than you can shake a stick at. Upon request, we can get you a list of suitable references within 24hrs. Why 24hrs? We consider all of our clients friends and have the utmost respect for their time. Therefore we try to pinpoint references that are available to talk with you without inconvenience to either party.
Sure. While we wish we could help everyone who contacts us, the truth is there are some things that just don’t make sense for us to do or are not economically viable to take on. We don’t repair appliances, small engines or cars. We also don’t repair or install HVAC equipment. Call us and ask; if we don’t do it, we probably know someone trustworthy that we can connect you with.
Depends. We make every effort to schedule you as soon as possible. If you have an emergency or immediate need we will do all that we can to get to you ASAP. Depending on our workload, it can be anywhere from 24 hours to two weeks. Call us to explain your project and we’ll be able to give you an accurate estimate on lead time.
I am horrible at naming things. If left to me, my dogs would be named “Dog 1″ and “Dog 2″ and my child would be named ‘Kid’. So after many weeks of fruitless attempts to come up with a name for my business, I asked my 7 year old daughter to give it a shot. Her response? “Fix n’ Do” Because, well, I fix things and do stuff. That was good enough for me.
We accept cash, all major credit cards and checks from established clients. We hope to add more payment options in the future, such as Paypal.
On the whole, the answer is no. payment is due upon completion of the work requested. For larger projects, a down payment is usually required to get started. For some established clients with a good track record and clean credit history, we can extend credit for certain projects. Call for more details.
Absolutely!  First, I offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee- As long as you are within shouting distance of reasonable, I will not call the job complete until you say you are satisfied.  2nd, I guarantee there will be no issues that arise from my workmanship (I do not cover materials, which should have their own warranty or problems that are the result of normal wear/tear, abuse or misuse) for a period of time dependent on the job, usually 1 year.  Long story short, If you are of a reasonable mind, I will do whatever it takes to make sure you are satisfied with my work.  And in the unlikely event there’s a problem with my work, I will correct it to your satisfaction, free of charge.
